Latest news re psytrance at the Club:

They hired a resident DJ to play every thursday (think they could pay him really low salary). First week he was okay, second week he was terrible (so sorry if he's reading this, but its true) and hardly anybody was there. Most of his music is pre 2002. Nobody in psytrance scene knows him.

Same Thai manager, but new falang manager cos Serge left a while ago. Baseline for Thai manager is money - if they get lots of peple and sell lots of booze, psytrance will continue. If they dont get people (and with same dj every week i don't think they will) they will stop psytrrance. So stupid. Must be LOADS of backpackers on Khao Sarn road who like psytrance, but the advertising was always shitty/non-existent..

If you find out any new info, let me know too. For now, we have Ezze (RCA) on Saturdays again, and sometimes Breaks (Silom) on Sundays. Will try to keep activities board updated.

 Last year we had a 65 year old falang and he danced like a maniac....  Most psy festivals usually have some older people in their 60s or 70s. For sure I"ll still be staggering around with my walking stick

I totally agree the sound at the club on Thursday is getting worst and worst (since july) especially for the last two times I went there. There was no logical, no story on the mix (psy then full on then dark, then prog then full on...). IMHO It's not a problem of Dj's technics skills but of the choice of the tracks.

I heard by the guy a friend of Dj Momo than the good sessions will restart around september/october when Momo will be back from France.

@ Hype Viper No one is too old for dancing on psytrance.

So many psytrance lovers and freaks come to Thailand and heard only about the Full Moon Party and they have no idea that there are a lot of other parties.

Maybe it could be great to add the parties on the agenda section of http://www.goatrance.de/goabase/
and to inform on the UK forum psyforum.co.uk , french trance-goa.org , spanish cosmictrance.com ... etc...
Maybe you can also contact Isratrance to create a special section for thailand and/or Asia (at the moment there is only one for India in Asia).

By this way you could also enter in contact easier with international DJ's. It could be an opportunity to book them for parties if there are coming to Thailand for holidays.

I'm still dreaming about my website idea.. (maybe one day I won't work 12 hours every day).

Main problem for promotion and advertising - getting the info from the organizers within a good time - not 3 days before!!   

I'll send you info as soon as I know anything - there is a party next month on Koh Chang - but need to sort out about prices etc. When its definite, I'll let you know.

For raft parties, still a bit too rainy. I guess will start in October

I am really interested why more Thai people don't come - is it they don't know about the parties, they're too expensive, they think they won't have any friends???

There was a great post after the Ezze river party from a thai person who before only liked trance and was a bit worried to go - afterwards they were a Psy convert and said how great it was But I can't remember who posted or in what forum

There're always have Open Air Psy party at Phangan island but in BKK it's imposible.
