hmm, well i just wrote a long post and it disappeared into psyberspace so here is short version:

I'm a falang woman, have lived here 10 years, over 30 (guess that makes me reaeaally old around here), want to apply for Permanent Residence next year (so if anyone has good connections with Immigration do let me know  . I live and work in Bangkok - not a teacher. I'm a music snob - I only like psytrance (not house, trance, techno or hip hop) but I dont mind  talking to people who do like that music    I got into psy in SA back in 1994. Actually I also like classical, 60's, 70's and occasional new tracks. I also like pleng peue chiwit and luk tung!!  I don't like fake people or fake places eg Bed, QBar. Guess i am an old hippy type at heart. Clubs I liked/like in BK were Ohm, DDM, and now The Club (thurs) and Ezze (sat). And Astra once every 2 months... Favorite things: good psytrance parties, meeting new people, going new places, nature. Embarassing admission: I can read thai, but not spell or type (too lazy to learn, no time).

So that' me, come on all the 428 lurkers who read the "Any Farang?" post but didn't add  a damn thing...  Thai, falang, Asian, alien - please introduce yourselves a little bit..

before I found this web I'd searched for many Djs webs and some of them now I still have contacted with .But sometimes
just want to see how Thais think about DJing somehow (try to have thai Dj friends) becuz , in my place where I live
now nobody listens to dance tunes like funky house ( my favorite so awesomely fantastic right?) but my thought was
wrong after I could feel my freinds reactions they dont know about Dj ( I'm in Rayong ) So I kept my self with my music
and still keeping intouch with my friends in Australia and England they are Djs aswell , Good for us cuz, we always
share our tunes by internet hot tunes , new tunes,espacailly we got the same point of view in the music we trust.
So I just think that it might benefit for Upkjuys member if I can share some of my files ..
But after I got a new membership , day3 I realise something that could never change in Thailand.
Is the trend of music in Thailand so different from UK ( I got so much UK house experiences) and I know how to
please the audience in UK way but in Thailand just different we all have to agree with that thing no excute.

Finally I just hope that someday nightclub scene in our country will better before I die.

I don't know the Dj (i heard is playing something between trance progressiv to tek/house), but I know his label Hadra Rec which is also the best Trance party organizer in France (they organized each year the biggest french trance festival in the mountain !!

welcome! I am a purely psytrance lover. At the moment, there is only The Club on Khao Sarn on Thursdays for psytrance and another club in RCA (but not sure what is happening there). We are planning some more private parties (message me for details). Narcisuss ,imho ,is  awful - i don't like trance or techno, and I always found the people there very snobbish and unfriendly.

I'm sure my friend can help you out re renting turntables -  message me

hi Vammy, nice to see a new person - don't worry about your english, and cool that you like Asian songs - there is no law what songs you should like - whatever makes you happy is good. Where are you from?

 I am a psytrance addict and I don't like anything pop (asian or falang) but I do also like pleng peue chiwid and luk tung for relaxing    and i like french love songs, and Indian songs, and Irish songs and classical music and old 60s music and lots of other stuff as well.

hi Muk!!  how old were you when you moved back here? did you find it a shock? did you adjust quickly? my best friend (Thai) will be coming back here soon from Australia with her daughter (luuk krung). Her daughter went to Australia when she was 5, now she's 11/12, and she really doesn't want to come back - she thinks bangkok is smelly and hot, doesn't understand Thai manners, speaks thai like a falang, can't read or write thai,  is 100% like a falang kid.. Any suggestions on what we can do to make her feel at home here more quickly?

I think its more difficult for girls to come back to Thailand after staying abroad than for guys. For guys, they have the same freedom here or overseas. Girls here have to be so super polite, take care what they wear, can't smoke cigarettes, can't disagree with older people. Agree or disagree?
